The University of Iowa Libraries has launched a new journal search tool to help authors identify journals that are eligible for open access (OA) agreements with scholarly publishers. The tool is updated when journals are added or removed from OA agreements. Users can search by journal title, subject area, publisher, or ISSN to find eligible journals.
In these journals, article processing charges (APCs) for eligible articles published by corresponding authors affiliated with the university will be covered, waived, or discounted. Authors will retain copyright and select a Creative Commons license to make their work immediately open and available. Articles published through OA agreements will be added to the UI Libraries Support Open Access collection in Iowa Research Online.
Open access agreements and the journal search tool are part of the Libraries’ commitment to support open access. If you have any questions, please contact Sara Scheib, director of the Scholarly Impact Department.
