Francis Bass is receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing with honors. Francis will be moving to Philadelphia where he plans to find a job for pay and continue to purse a career as a professional writer. After spending a lot of time at both the UI Libraries and the Iowa City Public Library, Francis enjoyed seeing a library from the other side. | |
Carly Garcia is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts with distinction degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, as well as honors, and a minor in American Sign Language. Carly will be attending graduate school for speech-language pathology at The Ohio State University. | |
Lauren Hudson is receiving a Bachelors of Business Administration in Economics and a Certificate in Human Rights, Pre-Law. Lauren will be attending law school to pursue a career in international human rights law at either The University of Colorado Boulder, The University of Denver, or The University of California Irvine. “I feel proud about the work I do in promoting community engagement with health information and health literacy” in my work at Hardin Library. “I believe health to be a human right for all people.” | |
Jacob (Jake) Edwards will receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, with honors. Jake is currently teaching at Scattergood Friends School and Farm and plans to attend graduate school in the future. Jake is a two-time winner of the UI Libraries Student Employee Scholarship. Jake loves Hardin Library because he is surrounded by dedicated students. |
