The Main Library Gallery at the University of Iowa Libraries is now seeking exhibition proposals for spring 2027, fall 2027, spring 2028, and fall 2028.
Iowa faculty and staff from all areas of expertise are invited to submit initial statements of interest for consideration during round one of the selection process through April 7, 2025. Please see below for more information about the timeline.
Exhibits for the Main Library Gallery must showcase materials from the Libraries. Two key purposes of the Gallery are to increase visibility of UI Libraries collections and to share unique research from the campus community through those collections.
Selection timeline:
- April 7: Deadline for initial statements of interest (round one).
- April 18: First-round decisions are announced. Finalists are invited to write complete proposals (round two).
- July 18: Deadline for finalist exhibition proposals (round two).
- August 4: 2027–2028 exhibitions are announced. Four total proposals will be selected for production.
