Exciting news, we got new bean bag chairs for 2nd and 3rd floor. They are large and comfortable allowing for studying in any corner of the library.

Day 8: Last of the books & journals from Geosciences
Day 7: Recap
Yesterday, the movers were back and they continued to work on moving books and journals from Geosciences to Biology and the storage facility.
At the Biological Sciences Library, we rearranged the books several times to make room for all the incoming materials and to merge several different call number ranges where all 3 libraries had books.
At Geosciences, they lost electricity for a couple of hours but that didn’t slow anyone down.
Day 6: Recap
Yesterday allowed us to take a deep breath and regroup since most of the movers had a prior commitment.
The last of the shelving was removed from Physics. A few more books where found in hidden in the shelving.
Kai took the opportunity to merge the books a little better between the libraries of where we have cross over.
Day 5: Geosciences & Biological Sciences
Day 4: Physics, Biology, & Geosciences
Today, the movers have been at all three libraries.
They began today at Physics collecting the rest of the books and journals. Other movers brought these physics materials to Biological Sciences and the storage facility. Then, the books and journals brought to Biological Sciences has to be put back onto shelves.
Once the first crew was finished with Physics, they started moving the books and journals at Geosciences.
A third crew has continued to take down the shelving in physics all today. They discovered a group of books that have been hidden behind some shelves.
Day 3: Recap
Today was another busy day.
The movers continued to work on Physics.
- All the journals have been moved either to Heinz Road or to Biological Sciences.
- The journals at the Biological Sciences Library are beginning to be put on the shelf.
- Library staff (Kai, Brandon, Christine, Jessica, and myself) have also shifted journal titles to make room to the incomming Physics titles. This involved a moving assembly line.
- At the same time, the books have begun to be sorted by where they are going and a portion have been move to Biological Sciences.
