PsycTHERAPY – Trial ended November 1, 2011

PsycTHERAPY is a database containing more than 300 videos featuring therapy demonstrations showing clinicians working with individuals, couples, and families.  Annual subscription fee:  $5,000

  • More than 200 different topics covered throughout hundreds of hours of filmed demonstrations
  • Demonstrations exemplifying various therapist interactions with individuals, couples, and families
  • Interactions from therapy demonstrations utilizing a wide range of approaches
  • Contains only unscripted, spontaneous therapy sessions taped in the last 10 years
  • Highly flexible tool with synchronized, searchable transcripts that enhance user navigation and access
  • Ability to tag segments of each therapy demonstration to create, save, or share personal playlists
  • Growing collection of demonstrations with new content being added biannually

  1. This will be an exteremly valuable tool for training of residents in psychiatry and for professional development of faculty psychiatrists intersted in using psychotherapy in their practice. I would strongly recommend to make this available through the UI Library.Thanks you for the great selection.

  2. We teach a number of practice courses in the School of Social Work at both the graduate and undergraduate levels where we would have a use for these counseling and therapy videos. In addition, we have MSW programs in three other locations in the state so having the ability to stream these videos from the web would make these resources available to our off-campus centers – who otherwise have limited access to vhs or dvds in our media collection.

    This would be a very helpful resource. I would strongly recommend making this data base available.
