Would you like to learn how to use technology to find new information for you? Join us for a Staying Current workshop and learn how to use RSS feeds and\u00a0other alert options to keep up with blog posts, news, and scholarly articles.<\/p>\n<div id=\"event_desc\">\n<p>In this workshop, you will learn how to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use an RSS Reader to keep up with blog posts and news articles;<\/li>\n<li>Use <a title=\"Google Alerts\" href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/alerts\" target=\"_blank\">Google Alerts<\/a> to monitor the web for relevant information;<\/li>\n<li>Use Saved Searches in various research databases to keep up with scholarly communications;<\/li>\n<li>Use Citation Alerts in <a title=\"Web of Science\" href=\"http:\/\/purl.lib.uiowa.edu\/wos\" target=\"_blank\">Web of Science<\/a> or <a title=\"Scopus\" href=\"http:\/\/purl.lib.uiowa.edu\/scopus\" target=\"_blank\">Scopus<\/a> to monitor your citations;<\/li>\n<li>Use Journal Table of Contents Alerts to keep up with your favorite journals;<\/li>\n<li>Use BrowZine to find journals and read articles on your iPad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This workshop is free and open to all UI students, faculty and staff.
