Welcome back! Here are six tips from the Sciences Library<\/a> to help you hit the ground running and start the semester off right.<\/p>\n

  1. Textbooks and more<\/b> – Check the library catalog<\/a> to see if your textbooks are on reserve at the library or available to check out. This goes for other books, videos, music and articles too.<\/li>\n
  2. Study Space<\/b>\u00a0– It isn’t always easy to find a place to meet or study. Fortunately, the Sciences Library\u00a0has new study areas<\/a>, extended hours<\/a>\u00a0and we still have free coffee.<\/li>\n
  3. Guides<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0– Do you have a paper to write, but can\u2019t find the information you need? Check out our Subject Guides<\/a>. These guides\u00a0contain links to library funded and librarian recommended research databases and other resources\u00a0you can use to find what you need.<\/li>\n
  4. We deliver, for free<\/b> – \u00a0Need a book from another Library but don’t want to walk all the way across campus? Click the “Request” link in the library catalog<\/a> and we’ll send it to your office or a campus library.\u00a0 If we don\u2019t have it<\/b>, <\/i>fill out the Interlibrary Loan Request Form<\/a> and we’ll get it for you as soon as possible.<\/li>\n
  5. Workshops<\/b> – The Sciences Library offers several workshops<\/a> during the semester to introduce you to new tools and resources and help you learn how to use them.<\/li>\n
  6. Ask Us<\/b> – We’re here to help you. If you have a question or need some help, please don’t hesitate to contact us. You can call (335-3083), email (lib-sciences@uiowa.edu<\/a>) or even chat<\/a>. And of course, you’re always welcome to visit us in person at 120 Iowa Ave., between Phillips Hall and the Biology Building.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
