Mauricio Lasansky, the innovative printmaker and founder of the printmaking workshop at the\u00a0University of Iowa School of Art and Art History<\/a>,\u00a0died last week at\u00a0the age of 97.\u00a0 Lasansky studied and worked at the Atelier 17 workshop prior to his arrival in Iowa City where he continued to influence the course of printmaking in the United States.<\/p>\n

Many of Lasansky’s works appear in the UI Museum of Art<\/a>, and he is also represented in\u00a0several Art Festival Programs <\/a>and Alumni Publications <\/a>in the Iowa Digital Library.<\/p>\n
