Even though names like Teapot Dome, Credit Mobilier, Ivar Krueger and Tino De Angelis have all but faded from history, they created shockwaves in their time and continue to echo in events that are unfolding today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On loan are a number of documents from the UI Special Collections&#8217; <a href=\"http:\/\/collguides.lib.uiowa.edu\/?MSC0159\" target=\"_blank\">Papers of Levi O. Leonard<\/a> collection that formerly belonged to financier and railroad executive\u00a0Thomas C. Durant (1820-1885), a central figure in the Credit Mobilier financial scandal. Three of these digitized artifacts can be seen in slides 4-6 of this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/slideshow\/2010\/07\/18\/business\/20100718-backdrop-ss.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>New York Times<\/em> feature<\/a>; thousands more may be viewed at the Iowa Digital Library&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/digital.lib.uiowa.edu\/leonard\/\" target=\"_blank\">Levi O.
