{"id":5243,"date":"2017-03-20T14:44:44","date_gmt":"2017-03-20T14:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/speccoll\/?p=5243"},"modified":"2021-01-29T21:40:05","modified_gmt":"2021-01-29T21:40:05","slug":"new-video-book-anatomy-by-hannah-hacker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/speccoll\/2017\/03\/20\/new-video-book-anatomy-by-hannah-hacker\/","title":{"rendered":"YouTube Video: Book Anatomy by Hannah Hacker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Members of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/internetcreatorsguild.com\/about\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Internet Creator\u2019s Guild<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> who are makers of educational video have come together this week to collectively release work on the theme &#8220;Create.&#8221; The University of Iowa Special Collections\u2019 contribution to this effort is a two and a half minute hand drawn video about book anatomy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hannah Hacker put her pen to paper to make drawings of the parts of a book as part of her two year position in Special Collections as an Olson Graduate Research Assistant. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hacker is also a graduate student in the School of Library and Information Science and the Center for the Book, and is a prolific artist.\u00a0<\/span>This is the first time Special Collections\u2019 staff have utilized hand drawings as part of an educational video.
