There is no need to register in advance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/events.uiowa.edu\/1342\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>EndNote Workshop \u2013 Wednesday, July 18, 2-3 PM, Chemistry Building, W258<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this workshop you will learn how to use EndNote to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Collect references for articles, books, websites, and other sources using Google Scholar,&nbsp;InfoHawk+, and popular databases like Web of Science and Scopus;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize your references into groups and share your reference library with collaborators;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the Cite While You Write plugin for Microsoft Word to insert citations into your papers and format them into thousands of different styles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>EndNote Web is available for free to all members of the University of Iowa community. EndNote Desktop is available for free to all UI graduate students, faculty, and staff.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/events.uiowa.edu\/1700\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Biology Databases Workshop&nbsp;\u2013 Wednesday, July&nbsp;25, 2-3 PM, Biology Building, B20<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this workshop you will learn how to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Use&nbsp;BioCyc to research metabolic pathways and genome databases.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find articles in BIOSIS Citation Index using advanced searching, combinations of searches, and alerts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the most important biological research articles on your topics of interest using Faculty of 1000 (F1000).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re interested, but unable to attend these workshops, private appointments and webinars can be arranged.
