The agreement includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Unlimited open access publishing by UI-affiliated corresponding authors, without payment of open access fees or Article Processing Charges (APCs), in any of the following journals:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/genesdev.cshlp.org\/\">Genes &amp; Development<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/genome.cshlp.org\/\">Genome Research<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learnmem.cshlp.org\/\">Learning &amp; Memory<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/molecularcasestudies.cshlp.org\/\">Molecular Case Studies<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/rnajournal.cshlp.org\/\">RNA<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read access for the university community to the complete Cold Spring Harbor Collection, including the journals listed above and:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cshperspectives.cshlp.org\/\">CSH Perspectives in Biology<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/perspectivesinmedicine.cshlp.org\/\">CSH Perspectives in Medicine<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cshprotocols.cshlp.org\/\">CSH Protocols<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To publish open access in CSHLP journals without paying open access fees or APCs, corresponding authors simply submit a manuscript using their UI affiliation and email address\u2014they will be automatically identified as eligible for the agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this agreement, UI authors retain copyright of their articles, which are published with Creative Commons <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by\/4.0\/\">CC-BY<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-nc\/4.0\/\">CC BY-NC<\/a> licenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open access publishing helps UI research reach a wider audience because it is free to read and not limited to subscribers. The CSHLP transformative agreement is one of a growing number of <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.lib.uiowa.edu\/c.php?g=1220506&amp;p=9051027\">open access agreements<\/a> in which the UI Libraries participates as part of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/scholarly-impact\/libraries-statement\/\">commitment to support open access<\/a>.
