{"id":351,"date":"2008-01-18T15:47:33","date_gmt":"2008-01-18T21:47:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/news\/2008\/01\/18\/win-tickets-to-hancher-with-love-from-the-libraries\/"},"modified":"2013-02-08T09:25:09","modified_gmt":"2013-02-08T15:25:09","slug":"win-tickets-to-hancher-with-love-from-the-libraries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/news\/2008\/01\/18\/win-tickets-to-hancher-with-love-from-the-libraries\/","title":{"rendered":"Win tickets to Hancher &#8220;With Love from the Libraries&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Before you get overwhelmed with assignments for the new semester, the Libraries wanted to welcome you back with a chance to win a pair of ticket to Hancher for dinner and a show\u00a0on Tuesday, February 12th at 7:30 p.m. Wynton Marsalis\u00a0and the\u00a0Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra\u00a0will be playing the Love Songs of Duke Ellington, just in time for Valentine&#8217;s Day.<\/p>\n<p>To win, you need to write a short essay (250-500 words) comparing a scholarly work from your discipline to any part of Shakespeare&#8217;s Romeo &amp; Juliet. You also are required to submit a complete citation of the scholarly work your are comparing. If you&#8217;re so inclined, you write a sonnet instead of the essay.<\/p>\n<p>All entries are due on Monday, February 4th at 12 p.m. (noon) and must be submitted online through the web form. A panel of librarians will choose the winning entry.
