Thanks to Aeon, visitors to any of the special collections reading rooms will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/iwa\/files\/2018\/08\/Aeon.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"158\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/iwa\/files\/2018\/08\/Aeon.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1610\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Set up an online account in advance&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>of their visit. <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Schedule upcoming visits<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Request materials<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Order scans or photocopies<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Keep track of past visits and requests<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Patrons can expect a few changes in the reading room the next time they visit. There will be much less paper work, and first-time researchers will be asked to present a photo ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We expect that after they register, using Aeon will help researchers maximize their time in our reading rooms and make it easier for them to manage their requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ready to set up your Aeon account?
