{"id":433,"date":"2007-07-27T14:26:00","date_gmt":"2007-07-27T20:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/hardin\/2007\/07\/27\/lawrence-new-assistant-director-of-collections-and-outreach\/"},"modified":"2007-07-27T14:26:00","modified_gmt":"2007-07-27T20:26:00","slug":"lawrence-new-assistant-director-of-collections-and-outreach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/hardin\/2007\/07\/27\/lawrence-new-assistant-director-of-collections-and-outreach\/","title":{"rendered":"Lawrence new Assistant Director of Collections and Outreach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/hardin\/files\/2007\/07\/janna0607.jpg\" alt=\"janna0607.jpg\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" height=\"165\" width=\"165\" \/>Janna Lawrence joined the Hardin Library staff as Assistant Director for Collections and Outreach in late May.<span>    <\/span>Janna comes to the University of Iowa from the Briscoe Library at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where she began her career in health sciences libraries as a library assistant and most recently served as Coordinator of Reference and Instructional Services.<\/font><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">After 23 years in Texas, Janna is happy to return to her Midwestern roots.<span>  <\/span>A native of central Illinois, she received a BA from the University of Illinois, and a Masters in Library and Information Science from the<br \/>\nUniversity of Texas at Austin.<span>  <\/span>She is an active member of the Medical Library Association (MLA) and a past-president of the South Central Chapter of MLA.<\/font><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Janna looks forward to working with the Hardin staff to expand the Library\u2019s collection of electronic journals and other resources and to meeting faculty and students in her Outreach role.<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Janna Lawrence joined the Hardin Library staff as Assistant Director for Collections and Outreach in late May.
