Banned Book Week

ALA Banned Book Week Poster

September 25th to October 2nd is national Banned Books Week, an annual event celebrating the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. This week is set aside to call attention to materials which have been subject to banning or restriction in the United States of America, and to highlight the importance of challenging attempts to restrict or censor our Intellectual Freedom.

Hardin library is proudly presenting an exhibit of select (and accessible) materials from the University’s collection which have been restricted or suggested for banned, so come by and take a look!
