This semester<\/span>,<\/span> we have five graduating student <\/span>employees<\/span>!<\/span> It has been wonderful to see these students grow <\/span>during <\/span>their time with us.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Hometown: <\/span><\/b>Iowa City, Iowa<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Degree: Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Next steps: <\/span><\/b>I will be working as a product development engineer at IDT in Coralville, Iowa.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What piece of advice would you give yourself in your first year of college? <\/span><\/b>Don\u2019t be afraid to ask for help!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Hometown: <\/span><\/b>Marietta, Georgia<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Degree: Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and history with a minor in gender, women\u2019s, and sexuality studies\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Next steps: <\/span><\/b>I will be staying in Iowa City to complete the final year of my Masters of Library and Information Science with hopes of later attending a program to earn a PhD in history.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What piece of advice would you give yourself in your first year of college? <\/span><\/b>Allow your plans to change. What you came into college wanting to do with your life probably won\u2019t be what you leave college wanting to do. Explore as many experiences as possible, and you\u2019ll find what you\u2019re passionate about!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

What piece of advice would you give yourself in your first year of college? <\/span><\/b>Trust God\u2019s plan. Life has many twists, turns, valleys, and mountains to climb and these years will teach you that in a whole new way. It\u2019s important to remember that at the end of this journey, the view is worth it all, and all the beauty comes from the moments it took to get there!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Next steps: <\/span><\/b>I am moving to Jacksonville, Florida to be a project engineer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What piece of advice would you give yourself in your first year of college? <\/span><\/b>I would tell myself to trust in God during those hard exams. And remember my identity is found in Christ, not measured by success on earth!\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n

Next steps: I will take a <\/span><\/b>manufacturing engineering role at Tesla.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What piece of advice would you give to yourself in your first year of college? <\/span><\/b>Everything will fall into place\u2014don\u2019t stress about internships or the next job. You\u2019re exactly where you need to be; focus on giving your all in whatever you do. Hard work won\u2019t create instant breakthroughs, but it builds the momentum that turns effort into opportunity.
