{"id":4694,"date":"2015-09-08T21:42:43","date_gmt":"2015-09-08T21:42:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/needtoknow\/?p=774"},"modified":"2015-09-08T21:42:43","modified_gmt":"2015-09-08T21:42:43","slug":"dynamed-upgraded-to-dynamed-plus-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/combo\/2015\/09\/08\/dynamed-upgraded-to-dynamed-plus-3\/","title":{"rendered":"DynaMed Upgraded to DynaMed Plus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hardin Library recently upgraded to <a href=\"http:\/\/purl.lib.uiowa.edu\/ebsco\/dynamed\">DynaMed Plus<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/purl.lib.uiowa.edu\/ebsco\/dynamed\">http:\/\/purl.lib.uiowa.edu\/ebsco\/dynamed<\/a>).\u00a0 DynaMed Plus features a new, cleaner interface, an improved search engine, and an easier-to-use navigation panel on the left side of each topic. \u00a0Topics now\u00a0(or will soon) feature a section called <strong>Overview and Recommendations<\/strong> at the beginning, providing quick background information and graded, evidence-based management recommendations.\u00a0 Longer, more in-depth information then follows. ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes are given for each condition and guidelines and patient information are available. Drug content, such as medication management and lab recommendations, is now provided by Micromedex. More than 4000 graphics and images are included in DynaMed Plus to aid diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/needtoknow\/files\/2015\/09\/DMPlus.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-777 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/needtoknow\/files\/2015\/09\/DMPlus-300x194.png\" alt=\"DMPlus\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dynamed Plus also has an improved mobile app, available for iOS and Android devices.
