They are working on this problem.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, try one of these workarounds:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1. Save the PDF locally before opening it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Change preferences in Adobe Reader:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Edit &#8211;&gt; Preferences<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;Internet,&#8221; then uncheck &#8220;Display PDF in browser&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Select &#8220;Okay,&#8221; then close Reader and reopen your browser.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elsevier has acknowledged a problem with opening PDFs in ScienceDirect in some browsers using the Adobe plugin, on some versions of Windows.
