{"id":2262,"date":"2014-01-13T16:46:12","date_gmt":"2014-01-13T16:46:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/needtoknow\/?p=563"},"modified":"2014-01-15T14:39:10","modified_gmt":"2014-01-15T14:39:10","slug":"accessmedicine-and-accesspharmacy-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/combo\/2014\/01\/13\/accessmedicine-and-accesspharmacy-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"AccessMedicine and AccessPharmacy Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, McGraw-Hill released new versions of AccessMedicine and AccessPharmacy.\u00a0 Because of this, some of the links to electronic books in the InfoHawk and Smart Search catalogs no longer work.\u00a0 We are aware of this and are working to fix it.\u00a0 In the meantime, if you are looking for a book whose link no longer works and you know you previously used it in either AccessMedicine or AccessPharmacy, you can go directly into the resource from the link under <strong>Popular Resources<\/strong> on <a title=\"Hardin Library for the Health Sciences\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/hardin\">Hardin\u2019s home page<\/a>.\u00a0 Once you are in AccessMedicine or AccessPharmacy, click on <strong>Readings<\/strong>.\u00a0 From the Readings page, you will see thumbnails of book covers, arranged alphabetically. Click on the cover of the book you are looking for to go into it.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, we know of three \u00a0books which has been removed from AccessMedicine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current Diagnosis and Treatment in Orthopedics (Hardin owns this in print.\u00a0 Call number RD 734 .C87 2006)<\/li>\n<li>Current Diagnosis and Treatment Otolaryngology (We have ordered a print copy of this title, since electronic access is no longer feasible.)<\/li>\n<li>Smith\u2019s General Urology, 17<sup>th<\/sup> ed.
