Extensive holdings in the Iowa Women\u2019s Archives and the University Archives provided the background for David\u2019s presentation, including this 1980s-era notice from the Gay People\u2019s Union, and an image from the 1971 Hawkeye yearbook depicting Gay Liberation Front\u2019s entry in the 1970 Homecoming parade, its first public action. As a part of the committee, she wrote a post for Iowa\u2019s blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/nextgenphd.lib.uiowa.edu\/2016\/10\/17\/the-role-of-generosity-in-best-practices-for-digital-humanities-advisors\/\">The Newly Composed PhD<\/a>, on Amanda Visconti\u2019s visit to talk about her experience obtaining her doctorate and acquiring her current role as an Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities at Purdue University.
