{"id":3715,"date":"2024-04-18T14:01:30","date_gmt":"2024-04-18T19:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/needtoknow\/?p=3715"},"modified":"2024-05-01T11:25:43","modified_gmt":"2024-05-01T16:25:43","slug":"reminder-how-to-renew-your-books-after-the-semester-ends-and-avoid-fees","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/needtoknow\/2024\/04\/18\/reminder-how-to-renew-your-books-after-the-semester-ends-and-avoid-fees\/","title":{"rendered":"Reminder: How to renew your books after the semester ends and avoid fees"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Do you have book loans from the University of Iowa Libraries due in June 2024?<\/strong> It\u2019s easy to return or renew (re-loan) those materials, especially to the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences, by Oct. 1, 2024. to avoid a replacement charge.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Renew your loans at the UI Libraires<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0By signing into your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lib.uiowa.edu\/myaccount\">InfoHawk+ account<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u00a0By bringing your books to the library and asking for renewals<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0By calling the library at 319-335-9151<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Return books in person<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may return books from the Hardin Library to any UI library.<\/li>\n<li>You may also return books from any UI library to the Hardin Library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Return books by mail<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may return any University of Iowa Libraries books to Hardin Library via campus mail. Include a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lib.uiowa.edu\/needtoknow\/files\/2019\/04\/books_return_slip.pdf\">campus mail book return form with each book<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Ship books to Hardin Library, 600 Newton Road, Iowa City, IA 52242. Please use shipping with tracking such as USPS Priority Mail or UPS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Additional return opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hardin Library also has a low-barrier book return at the Newton Road entrance. Come inside the first set of doors and you will see a wooden book return with a slot (nothing to pull) for returns. You may return any University of Iowa books here.
