Learn how to search for genomic information at our class Tuesday

Would you like to know how to identify the most up-to-date/complete sequence for a protein, transcript, or gene, using sources of sequence data in the NCBI system? In this session, you’ll practice finding all of the sequences for a particular organism. You’ll also learn how to get an estimate for expression levels of a gene in a particular tissue or organ and find homologous genes and sequences in other species. Finally, you’ll be introduced to the NCBI Map Viewer that allows you to display genes and other markers and download a region of the genome.

Our next session is:
Tuesday, April 10th, 3:00-4:00pm (Location: East Information Commons)
