  1. Hello,
I printed off the library services for distance ed students and attempted to use the electronic web site, but it went no where. So I am emailing to see about getting 2 articles:

    1. International Journal of Nursing Studies, Jan 2004 59-65 by Tsay, SL. Empowerment of patients with ESRD– a randomized controlled study.

    2. Patient education and counseling. April 2007 13-20. Patient Empowerment in theory and practice by Aujoulat.

Thanks, sending them by email would be lovely.

  2. There are a couple options for you. As a first step, try using our article locator at http://infolink.lib.uiowa.edu/sfx_local/cgi/core/citation-linker.cgi to see if your specific artcle is available online. The Article Locator searches all the sources of online articles at the University of Iowa and, if it finds your article online, links you to it (or close to it). You’ll need at least the title of the journal and the more information about the article you can give (volume, issue and page number, for example), the better the system works.

Not all publishers grant copyright permission to make their articles available online, however. Whether an article is available electronically or not, you can request a copy through the University of Iowa Library’s InterLibrary Loan/Document Delivery department. More information specifically for distance students is available at http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/disted/getmaterials.html.

You can, of course, always call us for help, too. http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/disted/gethelp.html
